HOUSE FULL OF STRANGERS.jpeg

After a lifetime of singing and learning guitar Maitland singer-songwriter Kingsley James started to share his art with his local community in late 2017. In that short time, he has become a regular in the music scene across the Hunter, as well as visiting other spots in on the east coast supporting acts including Tori Forsyth, Steve Smyth, Johnston City and Piper Butcher.

Also playing Keyboard in Johnston City Kingsley became a more interested in the piano and not just guitar and voice. Kingsley’s dulcet sound marries tones of earthiness with elements of soul, folk and blues - powered by honest and vulnerable lyrics derived from the experiences of his everyday.

He released his debut single "You and I" in mid 2019, he set out on a single tour playing around cities such as Byron Bay, Thirroul, Sydney, Canberra, Maroochydore, Mullumbimby, Newcastle and of course Maitland. As his interest grew more and more into recording and mixing he followed his music heroes and self produced his second "Wondering"  He then made his way to study a Bachelor of Audio at SAE Byron Bay. He released his third single "Don't' Wanna Leave" in August 2021 alongside Adelaide Engineer & Producer Cameron Lockwood.

After realising that Byron Bay wasn't for him Kingsley left the Northern Rivers to end the hiatus of not playing live for year and half, once home he hit the scene better then before playing gigs around the clock. In 2023 he set off on his second Tour for his fourth single "House Full of Strangers" playing in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Yamba, Old Bar, Newcastle and Maitland.

House Full of Strangers is set to come out late March to early April.

Kingsley is now currently playing locally around the area preparing more songs and recording to set off on an Album tour yet to be announced.
